đź‘‘ KING BETRAYED DURING ROUTINE VET VISIT
By BK, King, Victim, Survivor
I have returned from the veterinarian.
I survived.
Barely.
The visit began reasonably well. Upon my arrival, the staff immediately recognized that I am exceptionally handsome. My magnificent floof received considerable attention, as it should.
For a brief moment, I believed these people understood how to properly receive a King.
Then they called me Hudson.
Readers may remember that my brother Ziggy has recently been searching the Kingdom for a mysterious cat by that name.
I owe Ziggy an apology.
There may, in fact, be something suspicious about this Hudson character.
Why does his name keep appearing?
And more importantly:
WHY DID THEY KEEP CALLING ME HUDSON?
I made it perfectly clear that they had the wrong cat.
They did not listen.
Things then became considerably worse.
Without my permission, several people restrained me while another approached with a needle.
A needle.
For Hudson, presumably.
I don't know this Hudson.
I don't know where he's been.
And I certainly do not know what kind of questionable medical procedures he has scheduled.

Nevertheless, I WAS STABBED.
Naturally, I looked to Meowmy for assistance.
She did nothing.
Actually, that isn't entirely accurate.
She helped them.
My own Meowmy participated in the attack.
I have given this woman years of companionship. I have graciously allowed her to feed me, brush me, clean up after me, and live within my Kingdom.
And this is how I am repaid.
I eventually returned home, physically intact but emotionally devastated.
The identity and whereabouts of Hudson remain unknown.
I can only hope he is found before I am subjected to any more of his appointments.
As for Meowmy...
Her loyalty to the Crown is currently under review.
I have been betrayed by my own Kingdom.

Editor's Note: BK received one routine vaccination and was immediately returned home safely.
No evidence has been found that “Hudson” is responsible for the incident.
