Luna tapped for starring role in “Don’t Speak”; sources describe casting as 'obvious'
CANVAS & CHORDS — Production has begun on the next installment in Looney & The Coons'™ CAT TV mewsic video deal, with Meowtown Records confirming Luna will take the starring role in “Don’t Speak.”
According to sources close to the production, the casting process was brief.
“We needed someone who could communicate ‘stop talking’ without actually saying anything,” one production source said. “Luna was the obvious choice.”
Luna declined to comment on whether she considered the role a natural fit.
She did, however, raise one paw and close her eyes while the question was being asked.
Production staff considered this confirmation.
The upcoming video follows L&TC's™ CAT TV debut, “My Treats,” which featured all three cats and reportedly required very little acting from Ziggy.
This time, however, Meowtown Records appears to be leaning heavily into Luna's established strengths: disapproval, personal boundaries, and an ability to make others feel they should probably stop whatever they're doing.
Early production has reportedly gone smoothly, provided “smoothly” is defined generously.
Sources say the first creative disagreement occurred shortly after a member of the production team attempted to give Luna direction.
“I got about four words in,” the staff member said.
No injuries were reported.
BK and Ziggy are also expected to appear in the production, though their roles have not yet been disclosed.
When asked whether working alongside her brothers presented any concerns, Luna reportedly stared at reporters until the question was withdrawn.

Meowtown Records has not announced a release date for “Don’t Speak,” but production is officially underway.
