The Household Supervisor
Luna isn't mean....she just has boundaries, and she expects everyone to respect them.
She's never been a cat who wants to be picked up, crowded, or constantly touched. She likes affection on her terms and personal space at all times. Her brothers occasionally forget this, which is usually when Luna's preferred method of correction — a well-placed slap — comes into play.
But Meowmy is Luna's person. Her only person. And wherever Meowmy goes, Luna is usually somewhere nearby.
Not on her. That would involve entirely too much touching.
Just beside her. Behind her. Across the room. Outside the shower. Watching. Supervising. Making sure everything is being handled correctly.
Luna doesn't need to be in your lap to love you.
She just needs to know exactly what you're doing at all times. 💜
Yes, She's Really Like That
Luna may be the household supervisor in the comics, but that attitude came directly from the real thing.
For a while, Luna stayed in the bedroom with us. One day, while she was perfectly comfortable on the bed, Ziggy made the mistake of sliding a paw underneath the closed door.
Luna saw it.
She immediately jumped off the bed, marched over to the door, slapped the offending paw, and returned to her business.
He wasn't even in the room. His paw was simply too close.
That's Luna.
Her brothers occasionally require correction, especially when they forget that personal space is not a suggestion. With people, though, she's a sweet, affectionate cat. The disciplinary department is strictly cats-only.
Luna in the Kingdom
In L&TC, Luna's preference for peace, personal space, and basic competence has evolved into a full-time supervisory position. She's the Kingdom's resident enforcer of standards, keeper of order, and frequent corrector of brothers who should know better.
Her expectations aren't unreasonable. Everyone else is simply underperforming.
Which is to say:
Exist quieter.
